Bio

I apply my teaching experience, PhD in biology, and learning sciences research knowledge to transform the biology curriculum at MIT through digital learning and MOOCs that we share with the world. I take a learning engineering approach to our design process to focus on our learners and make data-informed decisions. I manage the development and execution of the projects and promote the implementation of evidence-based teaching in the courses. https://web.mit.edu/mitxbio/courses.html We study learner engagement and course design in our research. I enjoy training and mentoring post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates in this discipline. I co-created and manage three of the best online courses according to the Class Central list.
